Confession #5 - Beauty and the Beast

I don't care what you say, if you are anywhere near my age, you loved Disney movies.

I have a terrible memory of being a child, but I do remember going to the movie theater to watch Aladdin the first time!

(Don't get me started on the immodest implications in Disney movies. There are plenty of rants out there to cover that rond de jame of issues.)

Confession: I waited 10 years to watch Beauty and the Beast.

The CD has been playing in my car, and I had the scenes in my head. It was driving me c-r-a-z-y!

And finally - at last - I put the kids to bed, and watched it, and cried.

Siiiiiiiigh.....

Beautius.

Confession #4 - Humor Me

I, Trish, am not one of loose humor.

I do not wildly chuckle at mildly amusing things, or slightly funny people.

I do not get awkward jokes, especially the "just kidding" kind.

Confession: I have an odd sense of humor.

It's very, very hard to make me laugh - a for real laugh - really!

The one thing I try not to do is too many awkward "yeah.... yes yes ...ok" pretend funny laughs.

But it happens sometimes.

And, sometimes my own jokes aren't funny.

Hey, at least I know it. :o)

Yes, I am that kid - the one who tells a knock-knock joke that goes something like:

"Knock knock."

"Who's there?"

"Fries."

"Fries who?"

"On a house!"

"...er............"

I would like to publicly thank all my friends, who have no doubt mastered the smile + nod function.

Yuk yuk yuk. :o)

Confession #3 - Food Art

Ah, I just can't help myself.

What's the confession?

Making cute lunches for my kids is NOT the first time I have assembled my food to resemble something.

I started as a kid - and then continued as a teenager - and beyond, re-arranging my food into faces, landscapes, characters....

I just can't help myself!

I even do it with the leftovers on my plate at a restaurant. Even during a date.
Embarassing? Maybe.

But.....

I.... must..... arrange.... food!!!

Confession #2 - John Cusack

I am a child from the mid 80's, therefore I did not discover all the amazing 80's movies until later on in my life.

However, herein lies a confession.

I totally have a big girl crush on John Cusack.

He's got my sense of humor, which I get! :o)

And he's so tall, dark and handsome.

Pitter patter, pitter patter.

Lol.
